Kingfisher Resort, south west coast, almost offshore from Hervey Bay. Our scenic flight crossed the island at this point.
Lake McKenzie. One of the most pristine freshwater lakes found anywhere in the world. One of the many freshwater lakes on Fraser Island.
Looking down the south east coast toward Rainbow Beach, and the Sunshine Coast beyond.
The beach doubles as a highway on Fraser Island, but be careful come high tide!

A beautiful morning to observe the swirls and beautiful colours of this ocean oasis.

Pelican Island, so named as a nesting ground and refuge for pelicans.

Fraser Island. So beautiful from the air. So special on the ground, if you get a chance to visit. The freshwater lakes, Eli Creek and beach and sand track driving as highlights. Just do not feed the wild dingoes (be careful around young children) and watch out for the territorial goannas.
