Cable Beach, one of Australia’s finest, most particularly when you can swim there, as we did this past June.

OK, so we have been there before, but it marked the start of a short holiday with friends. Importantly, we made sure we walked its extensive shoreline each morning, able to stroll for many kilometres in both directions, along smooth sand, on the most pleasant of mornings.

So, if visiting, ensure you (1) see the sunset at Cable Beach and (2) stroll its marvellous expanses each morning (or evening too). A swim is a very sensual bonus, if its is safe to do so (free of stingers, crocodiles, etc).
