Jim Jim Falls and Jabiru NT. 20180625

No crocodiles today, just lots of croc stories, warnings and signs. What we did have was a major shemozzle this early morning when our tour company stuffed up all their pickups, to the extent every tour was delayed and many had to be rearranged, including ours. In our case, we missed on Gunlon Falls, due to lack of time, and passed on a river cruise which we are already scheduled for. Another first world problem, for we the privileged! Nevertheless, our tour guide was very supportive and went over and above to try to overcome our initial setbacks. Thanks to Jezza!

In any case, we had a great day. Our tour group were just fine and interesting, we made the best of a poor start, and by day’s end we reflected on a fun day. Our day’s main attraction of Jim Jim Falls was wonderful and beautiful, even though the plunge pool water was rather cold. The picture below will hopefully confirm this beauty, while one on-board image shows the corrugated road in, for many k’s.

Our fun day finished with a short swim in our resort pool, a lovely chat with some adjacent guests, now with exchanged numbers and plans to catch up back on the Sunny Coast, and ultimately, an especially yummy Thai restaurant meal just around the corner in Jabiru. And the weather still most balmy and round 30 degrees at 8:30 pm.
