Relaxing in Darwin after a sleep in and late arrival this morning. Soon to pick up our 4WD and so be able to start exploring Darwin before our sunset cruise and dinner this evening on Darwin Harbour.

Meantime the views below are from our balcony of our room at Skycity Casino, and of the adjacent beach. This beach is stunning but not necessarily free of jelly fish, so no one swimming. No signs about crocodiles, but in any case, I will be swimming in the Infinity pool nearby.

Headed off on foot to pick up our hire car. Thought a short cut would be a good idea although google maps does not like that much when you head off road, literally. Ended up in the botanical gardens, which were rather nice. Images below, will have to visit at leisure again in next days. Meanwhile Darwin is a very civilised and accessible town this time of the year, easy to get around and limited traffic, other than the school pick-up rush.
