Leaving early from Purnululu National Park, we succeeded at avoiding the trafffic that can otherwise impede your progress and vision on this most corrugated and challenging road. Sixty five km and 105 minutes later, we were on the bitumen and pleased we had now survived our off-road adventure without any incidents. Too bad about the windscreen chip thanks to a road train past Halls Creek a little later.
Anyway, after a quick detour to the China Wall near Halls Creek, and fuel soon after, we stopped in for lunch at Mary River and arrived in Fitzroy Crossing by mid-afternoon. Great accommodation there and enjoyed watching the sunset from our private balcony.
The China Wall (next two pics) near Halls Creek.
The view from our balcony as dusk approached and passed. Too bad our stay here is so short.
