Looking at the summit at Sun Peaks. No time to hike unfortunately.
Left Whistler about 8:30am after a short but interesting stay. Nice place but weather was a bit overcast. Headed to Sun Peaks, another snow resort, some 5 hours or more by bus away. Arrived about 4pm, with just time to access the nearest chairlift and see some of the view. Lack of time for hiking with tea beckoning.
Meantime, like Whistler, noted both the great ski runs and the facilities for the downhill bikers. So many great tracks, what fun.
Some rugged mountains, and many streams and gorgeous lakes on the drive through. Very relaxing with the rocky mountainside rising steeply all around us for most of the trip.

Beautiful lake with the ‘log jam’.

Many rivers and streams amongst the rocky steep outcrops.

Very fertile land in-between.

Sun Peaks view up the chairlift.

View of Sun Peaks village.
Finished with a nice dinner out as we continue to get to know our fellow travellers on this tour. Tomorrow to Lake Louise with much anticipation.
