Our Canadian sojourn begins

So, a wonderful start to our Canadian and Alaska adventure. Enjoyed an overnight stay in Brisbane, nice meal, and early start to be able to depart on time in our 787/9 plane for Vancouver.

Mostly a smooth flight without incidents. Good seats with leg room just after premium economy. We lucked out there by booking preferred seats well in advance.

Arrived in Vancouver on an overcast day (pretty similar to the Brisbane we just left) with very smooth and easy transition through Customs. Twenty minute ride to our hotel in downtime Vancouver and admired the scenic and free flowing roads on the way in, arriving at 7:30 am.

Soon enough, we has a longish nap and ventured out for tea at a very pleasant Mexican restaurant (run by real Mexicans .. moy bien!). Then a walk to Canada Place near where we shall be staying on our return back to Vancouver.

Such a nice vibe in Vancouver this mild Friday evening, with so many choices for food along Robson St, and surrounds. Loved the salsa dancing at the nearby market and street entertainment. Reminds us a bit like Melbourne. We look forward to more exploring tomorrow (walking), then Sunday our organised tour starts from Victoria.

Already on our first day, seems an easy city to get around, feels safe here, and we look forward to exploring more. Many walking paths and much to see. And eat and drink. Adios for now.
