Kangaroo Island, respite for the soul

After preparing my last post, and commenting on the benefits of just being in nature, I was reminded of our wonderful trip to Kangaroo Island, in South Australia. A gentle reminder to all, to not just get out in nature, but work each day to preserve it. I trust you can sit back, relax, take it all in, and just enjoy the following imagery.

Rugged coastline of Kangaroo Island in the Southern Ocean.
Nothing between here and Antarctica. So yes, the water is cool here.
A haven for sea birds and sea going mammals.
Amazing rocky outcrop known as The Remarkables.
This is an amazing formation up close. Do you see what I see?
How fascinating is rock, weathered and shaped by nature.
Evening sun, amazing view from stunning accommodation.
Beaches a plenty but beware of the walruses.
That gorgeous interplay between sky, sea and rugged land.
Safe refuge in the north in the beautiful harbour of Kingscote.
Kingscote. Largest village on the island. Good food, good people, a good time!
Plenty of good fishing, for the birds too!
Yes, there are kangaroos on Kangaroo Island. Plenty. Careful as you drive.
One of my favourite views of this trip.
Plenty of farmland on KI, although costly getting stock to market.
Many green rolling hills on KI. And plenty of space for kangaroos to feed.
