Now we are in-between destinations and tours, just chilling, without vehicle, in the lovely Cable Beach area of Broome. Is there a better place to have an early morning walk than along the beautiful and extensive Cable Beach? So much room to walk, run, or even give the thoroughbreds some galloping space, as was occurring at the southern end this morning. Weather mildly cool but just fine, sky was blue, ocean calm and shoes optional as a number of people strolled, jogged, and even biked along this smooth and elegant beach. If this is the tourist season, which it is, there is clearly plenty of space, and that is appreciated.
Tonight another colourful sunset beckons, as we reconnect with some other fellow travellers we met some weeks to the south. Both couples surely will have many experiences of recent times to share, as well as a few drinks too. Just need to find something picturesque to post here also. Meantime, you will have to satisfy yourself with these Broome icons, walking down the street … ? I guess they were headed to the beach.
Evening done, sunset delightful, weather balmy and friendly, company tonight kind, entertaining and informative. So much to discuss and review from respective travels. Both of us acknowledged how we have stayed ahead of the rain down south, which was quite heavy apparently some weeks ago in the Ningaloo Reef area.
We can reflect on how large this country of ours is, as our friends and family in the south east are experiencing a very cold winter spell, snow is falling on the mountains there, while we enjoy the very warm and satisfying Kimberley. We are privileged to be able to have these opportunities so we will aim to enjoy these times, as all good things must end sometime.
