Today was helicopter day. Take off from Canmore, just outside the boundary of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. So pleased to get air-borne, after being delayed for 30 minutes as the cloud cleared, given our last flight from Whistler was cancelled. Not today, and was it good!
Through from Alberta and into British Columbia, and back, for 45 minutes. A smooth and exhilarating ride. Largest mountain was over 12K feet high, so that was our rough maximum altitude, give or take.
So many pictures taken of course, with some of the better ones attached below.
Rocks, forests, glaciers, lakes and rivers.
Many sheer razorbacks, like this one.
Sweeping valleys, soaring peaks; grass one side, forest the other.
Glaciers abound, even though all are retreating per historical levels.
Rugged, powerful, cold, impressive!
And of course, the beautiful and stunning many blue lakes!
