Tannum Sands, Queensland

Main beach looking south toward the town of 1770 and Agnes Water.

Tannum Sands, a nice town south of Gladstone, and next to Boyne Island and the Boyne River.

Had a nice lunch here after driving in from Carnarvon Gorge. What a contrast, from the outback. Both, of course, are good!

Boyne River near the mouth on the Coral Sea, on the Boyne Island side.
Mouth of Boyne River, with Gladstone Harbour around the corner on the left. May ships parked at sea offshore waiting to dock, to pick up their cargo, probably coal.
Very tidal area, around Tannum Sands. Love watching the tide in action. Such an amazing phenomenon.
Main beach Tannum Sands, looking south.
Same main beach at Tannum Sands, looking north. Plenty of space to lie about, or to have swim.
