It rained overnight! And quite an amount to the extent that the council had to bring in graders to patch up puddles and fill the ruts left by exiting vehicles. All good now but damage easily done given the deluge, soft sand and big vehicles.
Otherwise a very quiet and relaxing day in this very special and idyllic place. Weather a little cooler but still most pleasant, just not hot.
I did enjoy a late snorkel and was rewarded with seeing many colourful fish swimming about and feeding on the reef just off the beach here. Water was most pleasant in but just mildly cool once out. No need for a wet suit though.
I also included some further professional images from our recent diving trip, just because they are interesting or informative. The turtles in the water are just so much fun to watch, the coral is so diverse and colourful too in the right light, and fish are ever present in diverse colours and sizes. Also there are further images of the manta ray and its companion fish, the picture of the divers and dive boat, the team who do a great job of navigating to the mantas and deliver the tourists to the spot. Finally there are also some images of the small marina and looking toward the small town of Coral Bay around the point, as well as the small beach I attempted a late snorkel yesterday but it was a bit rough so I erred with caution and stayed in only briefly.
Tomorrow we head to Cape Range National Park, more reef but also the gorges and flora and fauna adjacent in this location, via Exmouth. We have loved Coral Bay, and privileged as we are, more fine locations await. Take care and enjoy.
