Kalbarri day 3. 20180517

Kalbarri has been quite a wonderland and a destination I would recommend to anyone who can venture to these parts. We have explored the deep gorges yesterday and we completed a tour of the coastline today. All ancient lands being battered and shaped by the sea, the wind, the rain and even plants.

So many glorious colours too, from rock, earth, plants, ocean and sky, changing as the sun rises and falls, first placid then bright, later shimmering, glowing then fading as a spectrum of colours are revealed before the sky is dark. Tonight as seen below, I noticed the clear evening sky allowing the non illuminated moon surface to be still visible. Then many stars.

Today I present just a smattering of images among so many. Seascapes, the rocky and ever changing coastline, so apparent in its stratification, so amenable to providing natural steps for the curious tourist, a few swimming spots reserved for snorkelling or swimmers only. Finally our faithful celestial friends ever present and wonderous including the sun, the moon, and Venus, near the mouth of the Murchison River at Kalbarri.

Tomorrow it is goodbye as we head for Shark Bay and Denham. Meantime we will not forget Kalbarri.
